Principal Project Manager, Digital Services
About this role
Lead medium to high complexity projects within Westinghouse's Operational Intelligence and Risk Management organization, managing cross-functional teams of 5-20 members supporting plant engineering, license renewal, condition monitoring, and strategic engineering initiatives across nuclear power plants. This role combines traditional project management with emerging technologies including artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- —Lead end-to-end project management for medium to high complexity projects, including proposal support, and direct cross-functional teams of 5-20 members
- —Oversee project planning and performance baselines including scope, schedule, cost estimates, risk registers, and stakeholder management in alignment with Westinghouse Project Management Review (WPMR)
- —Manage delivery across project functions including resource allocation, procurement, quality, communications, and stakeholder coordination
- —Lead customer and stakeholder communications, conduct negotiations, and provide transparent status reporting to team, customer, and leadership
- —Interpret contract requirements, manage scope and contract changes through integrated change control processes, and develop deliverables that strengthen customer relationships
- —Drive financial stewardship by forecasting spend, monitoring performance, closing projects in required systems, and capturing lessons learned
- —Mentor other project managers on critical project management requirements
- —Serve as Technical Inputs Lead for medium complexity proposal projects as assigned
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline
- —10 years of experience as project manager leading and directing small or medium complexity projects to successful completion
- —Westinghouse Project Manager qualification completed
- —PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification, or meet eligibility requirements (for external candidates)
- —Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI®)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge
- —Demonstrated understanding of data transformation to information for reporting
- —Experience with SAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager
Desired
- —8 years in technical/engineering role plus 2 years as project manager (alternative to 10 years PM experience)
Location
Cranberry Township, PA; hybrid; 5-10% travel including possible international travel
