Principal Project Contracts Manager
About this role
Principal Project Contracts Manager at Westinghouse responsible for drafting, negotiating, and administering large-scale contracts for nuclear energy projects. Interface between Engineering, Quality, Sales, and external clients to ensure compliance with NRC regulations, safety requirements, and internal procurement procedures.
Responsibilities
- —Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and amendments for nuclear projects
- —Ensure agreement on project scope, budget, and schedule with all stakeholders
- —Review and communicate safety-related requirements with suppliers and ensure regulatory compliance
- —Support commercial teams with execution of sourcing strategies and procurement goals
- —Mediate and resolve contract performance issues with main suppliers and partners
- —Manage change orders, claims, and dispute resolution processes
- —Monitor contract performance and regulatory compliance (10 CFR, NRC requirements)
- —Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies
- —Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve contractual issues
- —Support audits and internal reviews related to contracts
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or related field
- —7+ years of experience in contract management in project-based environments
- —Experience with standard contract forms in international and nuclear projects
- —Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and nuclear industry regulations
- —Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office tools
- —Advanced negotiation and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders across multiple regions
Desired
- —Certification in contract management (ACE, NCMA, or equivalent)
- —Experience with nuclear power plant projects or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts
Location
Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office per week); up to 20% travel required
