Principal Engineer - Variant Configuration

Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience with SAP Variant Configuration.

Principal Engineer role at Westinghouse responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP Variant Configuration models for nuclear energy solutions. Provide technical leadership in master data management, BoM creation, and system integrity across planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering functions.

Design, develop, and maintain SAP Variant Configuration models including characteristics, classes, dependencies, and configuration profiles. Create and manage SAP Bills of Material to support planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering. Troubleshoot configuration issues and optimize VC models for performance and usability. Ensure SAP master data integrity, quality, compliance, and consistency. Support SAP system upgrades, testing, and deployments. Lead Master Data Management teams and cross-functional projects. Provide technical guidance, training, and peer verification. Apply human performance tools and independent verification to prevent errors.

Experience creating SAP BoM models. Experience leading cross-functional teams. Experience supporting SAP system upgrades. Knowledge of Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) design. Ability to interpret and document complex business processes. Experience with Power BI.
