About this role
Principal Contracts Consultant at Westinghouse supporting nuclear energy sales and project delivery. You will serve as a key Legal & Compliance advisor to business unit sales teams, managing contracting strategies, customer negotiations, risk mitigation, and intellectual property protection across complex global nuclear deals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex customer contracting requirements to assess commercial, legal, and technical risks in nuclear energy projects
- Develop and implement intellectual property and proprietary information provisions to maximize Westinghouse value
- Support customer negotiations of contract terms, conditions, and complementary agreements (NDAs, licensing, teaming, MSAs, settlements)
- Complete Contract Review Evaluation Tool (CRET) and Risk Assessment Worksheets; develop risk mitigation responses
- Review contract documents for order acceptance, identify approval requirements, and advise on authorized signatories and powers of attorney
- Prepare contract summaries and job aids for major contracts; coordinate resolution of contract issues across Legal, Business Units, and partners
- Analyze contract trends with customers and competitors; provide strategic feedback to Legal & Compliance leadership
- Assist Business Unit Sales leads with executive presentations for contract position approvals
Preferred qualifications
Experience with sales contracts, NDAs, licensing agreements, teaming agreements, and global business practices; nuclear industry knowledge
Location, schedule, and travel
Cranberry Township, PA; hybrid work schedule; 10% travel expected
