Principal Civil Structural Engineer at Westinghouse supporting nuclear energy solutions. Evaluate structural systems (steel members, reinforced concrete, composite steel), resolve design technical issues across building structures, and document design changes. Part-time, casual position.

Responsibilities

—Evaluate structural systems including steel members, reinforced concrete, and composite steel
—Resolve technical issues for building structure design, fabrication, assembly and construction phases
—Provide technical justification for design changes and emergent issues; troubleshoot problems
—Use GTSTRUDL software for structural evaluations
—Learn and apply industry civil/structural codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, AWS)
—Document design change proposals, document revisions, new documents and drawing generation

Qualifications

—Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
—10+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering
—Experience with civil/structural evaluations and design engineering
—Proficiency with tools such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, GTSTRUDL or similar

Location

Part-time, casual position; no company benefits included.
