About this role
The nuclear site Operational Performance Lead is a key contributor in Vistra Energy’s fleet continuous improvement strategy. The site OPI Lead is the site single point of contact and subject matter expert in all aspects of Lean Thinking and other Operational Improvement strategies.
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage initiatives in the OPI database for the site and monitor KPIs for the site.
- Assist site leaders in identifying and delivering cross functional cost reduction initiatives, often leading improvement-focused teams.
- Monitor and communicate progress of KPIs associated with OPI.
- Assist site leadership in engagement of all employees to ensure sustained continuous improvement.
- Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements High school diploma/GED equivalent required BS in Engineering, Business or equivalent (preferred) Professional certifications in waste reduction desired such as Just Culture, Influencer, and/or Lean/Six Sigma, etc.
- Strong mentoring, training and coaching skills.
- Must be a superior communicator with small and large groups of varying seniority across multiple organizations.
