Required qualifications
- Requirements Required degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree): High School Diploma or GED Preferred Additional
- Education/Training such as: Industrial/Physical Security, Law Enforcement, Military Security Force Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description Must be at least 21 years of age.
- May be a member of the station's Fire Brigade and/or First Aid Team.
About this role
Experienced and fully trained Nuclear Security Officer responsible for maintaining security at nuclear stations by controlling access, monitoring and testing security and communications systems, and ensuring that NRC requirements are enforced. Applies working knowledge of nuclear security defense tactics to prevent and protect against radiological sabotage as defined by the Design Basis Threat.
