About this role
Westinghouse Level III NDE specialist conducting non-destructive examinations of steam generators and heat exchangers at nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. Interpret inspection results against ASME and NRC-applicable standards, develop advanced inspection techniques, and mentor junior NDE technicians. Role includes field work at customer nuclear sites and occasional travel.
Responsibilities
Conduct steam generator and heat exchanger non-destructive examinations per written procedures; interpret examination results against applicable industry standards (ASME, NRC); investigate and apply codes/standards to support regulatory compliance; develop and refine inspection techniques and procedures; mentor and train NDE Level I, II, and Trainees; support field project preparation with examination plans and procedures; operate field NDE equipment and automated inspection systems; maintain required certifications through performance-based training; participate in hazardous environment safety training; document quality-related issues; demonstrate customer sensitivity and cross-functional collaboration.
Location, schedule, and travel
Waltz Mill facility, Madison, PA; on-site 2–3 days per week when not traveling; regular travel to customer nuclear sites required.
