Required qualifications
High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of nuclear technical discipline experience OR 5+ years of related applicable discipline instruction experience; OR Associate's/Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (chemistry, engineering, health physics, mathematics, physics, education, or training) with 2+ years of related technical discipline experience OR 4+ years of related applicable discipline instruction experience. Must meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants. Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements as applicable. Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
About this role
Senior Instructor role developing and delivering nuclear maintenance and technical training programs across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and radiation protection disciplines at Constellation's nuclear facilities. Design curriculum, conduct evaluations, and drive performance improvement using systematic training methodologies aligned with NRC and INPO standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement performance-based maintenance and technical training programs aligned with Constellation's systematic approach to training model
- Coordinate and conduct classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator-based training in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and radiation protection disciplines
- Maintain training programs current with INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Bulletins, procedure changes, and training effectiveness data
- Prepare trainee examinations and conduct evaluations in multiple training environments; provide counseling and develop individualized training programs
- Support clean energy center and fleet initiatives including business projects, refuel outage support, and emergency preparedness duties
- Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits; prepare audit responses and findings documentation
- Supervise collection and maintenance of auditable training records and compliance documentation
- Maintain current knowledge of plant operations and disciplinary skills to ensure effective, high-quality training delivery
Preferred qualifications
Previous experience delivering training; knowledge of and experience with systematic approach to training (SAT).
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite at nuclear facility; may include refuel outage support, emergency response, and departmental coverage requiring flexibility.
