About this role

Mechanical Engineer supporting Westinghouse's nuclear power systems. You will apply engineering principles and ASME/ANSI codes to design, analysis, and evaluation of balance-of-plant systems for operating reactors, new builds (AP1000, eVinci), and fuel fabrication facilities. Report to the Engineering Manager of Balance of Plant Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles and ASME/ANSI codes & standards to design, analysis, and evaluation of nuclear power systems

Resolve technical issues for operating nuclear power plants, new plant projects (AP1000, eVinci), and fuel fabrication facilities

Develop calculations and reports documenting design and analysis results per ASME Section III and international code requirements

Collaborate with electrical, civil, and structural engineers on multi-discipline project teams

Present technical materials and justify designs in customer and vendor meetings

Execute work within established scope, budget, and schedule requirements

Recent or upcoming college graduate

Location, schedule, and travel

Hybrid role based at Rockhill, SC facility; relocation assistance not provided
