About this role
Material Handler/Utility Worker at McGuire Nuclear Station (Huntersville, NC). Operate forklifts and material handling equipment, maintain RWT qualifications and safety certifications, and support critical nuclear station operations. Local hire, onsite position.
Responsibilities
- —Operate forklifts, stand-and-reach equipment, motorized pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment critical to station operations
- —Perform material handling duties and basic rigging as required
- —Maintain RWT qualifications and all required training certifications
- —Follow safety procedures and technical requirements associated with nuclear power plant operations
- —Lift up to 50 lbs regularly with occasional heavier lifting
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or equivalent
- —Significant material handling experience
- —Ability to obtain and maintain forklift qualifications
- —Valid state-issued driver's license
- —Pass drug test and security background check
- —Ability to understand and follow technical procedures and directives
- —Commitment to personal and industrial safety
Desired
- —Valid Commercial Driver's License
- —Basic computer skills
Location
Huntersville, NC; local hire required; onsite; heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
