Manager, Quality Programs and Internal Assessments
About this role
Lead Westinghouse's Internal Audit Program and Quality Management System to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across global nuclear operations. Oversee a team of quality professionals, maintain ISO and NQA-1 certifications, manage third-party audits, and drive quality metrics and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- —Lead and manage the Westinghouse Internal Audit Program, including audit scheduling, auditor assignment, staffing, and budget oversight
- —Conduct internal quality audits, approve audit plans and reports, and ensure audits meet approved budgets
- —Maintain compliance of the Quality Management System with global regulatory requirements including ISO 9001, ISO 19443, NQA-1, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B
- —Manage corporate cross-organizational ISO certifications and serve as liaison for third-party audits from NUPIC, ISO, and government agencies
- —Develop, trend, and report quality metrics to measure effectiveness of quality processes and identify improvement opportunities
- —Lead management reviews to assess compliance and escalate risks or gaps to leadership
- —Lead change management and continuous improvement projects to support quality and efficiency goals
- —Support the operating experience process to share learning across Westinghouse
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 10+ years in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, or other applicable technical function; previous management experience; working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME NQA-1, and other nuclear industry standards; experience in global organizations.
Desired
Technical degree; Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001 or ANSI/NQA-1; familiarity with ASME B&PV Code, RCC-M, ANSI N45.2, and IEEE standards; CSA and NIRM standards knowledge.
