About this role
Lead Westinghouse's nuclear waste management team in Sweden, overseeing storage, processing, and disposal of radioactive materials. Report to the Director QEHS and partner with internal customers and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM). Manage a team of 8 employees while ensuring compliance with Swedish nuclear safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 8 employees supporting the Swedish organization in radioactive and nuclear waste handling
- Ensure nuclear safety standards across Westinghouse Sweden operations
- Support internal customers and authorities with questions regarding storage, processing, and disposal of factory and process residual materials
- Maintain and develop collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM)
- Manage personnel and foster a safety culture within the team
Preferred qualifications
Relevant academic degree in nuclear engineering, environmental engineering, or similar field
