Ability to organize and manage human resources on complex projects
About this role
Lead engineering project management for special nuclear projects at Millstone Nuclear Power Station. Oversee scope, schedule, and cost performance of large capital projects, manage relationships with engineering firms, and coordinate across station departments (operations, maintenance, radiation protection, security, training) to deliver complex nuclear infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership over engineering project management for special nuclear projects
Manage scope, schedule, and cost performance of large capital projects in compliance with NRC requirements
Oversee development of applicable studies, negotiate high-dollar contracts, and manage supplemental engineering firms
Direct engineering delivery and interface between design and construction efforts
Develop programs, processes, and procedures in accordance with NRC and quality assurance requirements
Coordinate with station departments including operations, maintenance, outage planning, radiation protection, security, and training
Drive continuous improvement and organizational excellence in project management
Prepare, maintain, and monitor group budget
Preferred qualifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Previous SRO (Senior Reactor Operator) license
Advanced degree in Engineering
Location, schedule, and travel
Millstone Nuclear Power Station. Office work environment 76–100%, travel up to 25%, nightshift coverage may be required as station needs arise.
