Manager FIN
About this role
Manager of the Fix-It-Now (FIN) Team at a Constellation nuclear power plant. This is a supervisory role overseeing maintenance staff and operations at a nuclear clean energy center. You will manage staff, maintenance activities, and ensure full compliance with NRC regulations, company procedures, and ANSI/ANS standards while maintaining safe and reliable plant operations.
Responsibilities
- —Manage assigned maintenance staff including hiring, development, compensation, performance evaluation, and training certification compliance
- —Ensure all FIN activities are performed safely and effectively by trained workers in accordance with plant procedures and NRC regulations
- —Plan and execute assigned FIN maintenance during on-line operations, forced outages, refuel outages, and unplanned power reductions
- —Support Operations and Work Management by addressing Priority Work List items and Main Control Room (MCR) deficiencies
- —Assure timely and effective performance of assigned FIN maintenance by trained and qualified personnel using approved procedures
- —Manage plant simple troubleshooting and serve as interface between Maintenance and Engineering for complex troubleshooting transition
- —Maintain ownership and control of the New Work Screening Committee
- —Maintain low and manageable Work Request (WR) backlog and prioritize emergent equipment issues
- —Ensure FIN maintenance and repair activities comply with all personnel and safety policies
- —Perform emergency response duties and department coverage as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience, OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 8 years of related experience, OR Associate degree with 10 years of related experience, OR High School diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience
- —Minimum 3 years of related experience including 2 years of power plant experience, 1 year of nuclear power plant experience, and 0.25 years of on-site experience
- —Meet requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.4.7) Standard for Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants
- —Supervisory or managerial experience
- —Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Supervisory or managerial experience in a Maintenance discipline (Electrical, Instrument, or Mechanical)
- —Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license or Certification
Location
On-site at Constellation Clean Energy Center; includes emergency response duties and call-out coverage requirements
