Required qualifications

- Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements per position duties
- Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

This role involves solving complex engineering problems, managing technical programs, and serving as a subject matter expert to support safe, reliable nuclear fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- Provide technical expertise and consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
- Perform engineering and technical tasks applying general engineering principles
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes
- Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- Support emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage activities as assigned
