Manager Engineering
About this role
Constellation, the world's largest private-sector power producer, seeks a Manager Engineering to provide advanced technical expertise and leadership for nuclear plant operations. This role involves solving complex engineering problems, managing technical programs, and serving as a subject matter expert to support safe, reliable nuclear fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Provide technical expertise and consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
- —Perform engineering and technical tasks applying general engineering principles
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage activities as assigned
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science
- —OR Professional Engineer License
- —OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
- —Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements per position duties
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Supervisory or managerial experience
- —Professional Engineer Registration
- —Advanced technical degree or related coursework
Location
On-site nuclear facility position; emergency response and on-call coverage required
