Maintenance Planner - Electrical
About this role
Plan and prepare work packages for nuclear power plant maintenance operations at a Clean Energy Center facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution in compliance with QA manuals, NRC regulations (10CFR50.59), ASME Code, and company policies. This role coordinates across maintenance, operations, and engineering departments to develop detailed work instructions, manage complex nuclear facility projects, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Plan and prepare work instructions for corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modifications
Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities; interface with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues
Prepare regulatory documentation including Out of Service orders, Radiation Work Permits, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, operability impact statements, ALARA task outs, and 10CFR50.59 compliance documentation
Verify work instructions comply with Nuclear Safeguard Protocols, ASME Code, and applicable NRC regulations; approve and review all required work packages for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate work package development and maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendations
Manage projects involving system planners or contractors; select and approve procurement for materials needed for work execution
Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback sessions, contract requisition reviews, troubleshooting, Operating Experience searches, and system interaction reviews
Respond to emergency situations, provide departmental coverage, and support outage activities as directed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related nuclear experience, OR Current/previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of related nuclear experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related nuclear experience
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable
Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations
Asset Suite 9 proficiency
