Licensing Engineer II
About this role
Support development of licensing documents and regulatory strategy for Westinghouse's Advanced Plant reactor projects. Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure new nuclear plant designs comply with domestic and international regulatory standards, reporting to the New Plants Licensing Manager.
Responsibilities
- —Support senior engineering personnel in developing licensing documents for submittal to customers and regulatory agencies, focused on new plant technologies
- —Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to create licensing inputs and participate in internal, customer, and regulatory meetings to present technical materials
- —Evaluate engineering design changes for regulatory compliance and 10 CFR 50.59 requirements
- —Communicate work status and technical scope to leads and management within established budget and schedule
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical); 3+ years of experience in nuclear licensing or related field
Desired
Nuclear licensing skills including 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, and topical reports; Familiarity with NRC regulations and nuclear industry guidance; AP1000 design and operation knowledge; ability to establish networks across multiple engineering disciplines
Location
Hybrid (typically 2 days in office) at Cranberry Woods, PA or Rock Hill, SC; <10% travel within US and globally
