Kozloduy Project Contract Management Director

Westinghouse is seeking a Director of Contract Management for the Kozloduy Nuclear Project in Bulgaria. This strategic leadership role oversees all contract management activities for a complex nuclear Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project, including the Engineering Services Contract (ESC) and EP+C Contracts. You will report to the VP Commercial Contracts, manage a team of Contract Managers, and drive contract strategy, risk mitigation, and opportunity identification throughout project lifecycle.

Lead full lifecycle contract management from kick-off through execution and closure for the Engineering Services Contract (ESC)

Support negotiations of EP+C Contracts and analyze contracts to identify risks, ambiguities, and opportunities; implement proactive risk mitigation strategies

Develop contractual and claim strategy in coordination with the Project Director; identify and pursue opportunity plans

Coordinate with Legal on contract amendments, change orders, dispute resolution, mediation, litigation, and arbitration

Report on major claims and critical project developments; prepare executive-level reports and management briefings on contract execution, changes, claims, and settlements

Oversee export control compliance and coordinate with insurance function to ensure contract insurance provisions are observed

Support Supply Chain in structuring Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Subcontracts with appropriate prime contract flow-down

Lead and manage a team of Contract Managers dedicated to the Kozloduy Project

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Contract Management, Law, Business Administration, Cost Engineering, or Quantity Surveying

15+ years of experience in complex EPC industrial projects

At least 10 years as a Lead Contract Manager on European projects in nuclear, power, oil and gas, construction, or automation sectors

Expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, risk assessment, change order management, and claims resolution

Ability to lead and manage a team of Contract Managers

Proficiency in English

Ability to balance client requirements, company interests, and risk exposure while obtaining client agreement

Bulgarian language proficiency
