Inventory Planner
About this role
Inventory Planner at Westinghouse Nuclear supporting nuclear energy solutions. Manage inventory planning and control for nuclear equipment and components at the Cranberry Township, PA headquarters. Balance on-time delivery and inventory goals by developing material forecasts, maintaining SAP systems, and coordinating across Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance teams.
Responsibilities
- —Review, validate, and implement MRP-generated requisitions to meet business and customer demand
- —Develop material usage forecasts and inventory strategies aligned with on-time delivery and inventory goals
- —Maintain forecasted demand, reorder points, and safety stock in SAP ERP for nuclear products
- —Build relationships with internal customers and cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Project Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance)
- —Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure material support of production and inventory plans
- —Work with Product Engineering to review and disposition excess and obsolete inventory
- —Establish and implement inventory management processes consistent with company guidelines and industry best practices
- —Participate in process improvement teams and implement recommendations using SAP modules
- —Support inventory management performance metrics for site and Business Unit financial goals
- —Deliver training programs on inventory processes and software tools
Qualifications
- —High School diploma or GED
- —2 years of related inventory planning or supply chain experience
- —SAP or other ERP system experience with knowledge of MRP, inventory management, forecasting, and purchasing
Desired
- —Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- —APICS/CPIM certification
- —Knowledge of discrete and continuous manufacturing processes
- —Knowledge of system-based Material Master creation, Bill of Materials creation, and workflow management
Location
Hybrid role (2–3 days in office per week); Cranberry Township, PA
