Engineering Branch Manager at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (Talen Energy). Oversee engineering department operations, budget, and technical staff performance. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day engineering group activities, budget, and organizational improvement initiatives
  • Establish engineering priorities, direction, and coordination of SSES Engineering program and procedure requirements
  • Approve technical products and maintain regulatory commitments to the NRC
  • Resolve complex technical issues consistent with plant licensing basis and design bases
  • Plan and schedule work activities and group resources
  • Develop employees and coordinate work group efforts
  • Ensure compliance with Technical Specifications, facility operating license, and station procedures without compromising plant safety
  • Maintain engineering group product quality and productivity
  • Coordinate assessments of Engineering process performance against industry best practices
  • Interface and establish effective communication between engineering and other plant organizations
  • Assign work activities, reinforce standards, and monitor team performance

Preferred qualifications

  • Two years of supervisor or team lead experience
