Senior-level mechanical design engineer at a nuclear power plant providing technical expertise in equipment and system optimization, engineering analysis, and regulatory compliance. You'll lead technical problem-solving, manage engineering issues from inception through completion, and support plant operations and outage activities.

Responsibilities

—Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs
—Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical consultation
—Manage engineering issues from inception through completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
—Apply engineering principles to assigned tasks and verify work meets standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
—Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs
—Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or ensure regulatory compliance
—Support emergency response, departmental coverage, outage activities, and other assignments as directed by management

Qualifications

—Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
—5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience
—Meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard requirements for nuclear power plant personnel
—Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access, pass medical examination as applicable
