Employee Concerns Program Specialist
About this role
Employee Concerns Program Specialist supporting Dominion Energy's Nuclear Business Unit at North Anna or Surry Power Station. Manages safety concerns investigations, trend analysis, and Employee Concerns Program implementation to maintain nuclear safety culture in compliance with NRC regulations.
Responsibilities
- —Conduct or coordinate comprehensive investigations into safety-related concerns and prepare written reports of findings
- —Implement and maintain the Employee Concerns Program within the assigned region, including concerns tracking and trend identification
- —Provide recommendations and guidance to management on strategies for handling safety issues and employee problems
- —Listen to employee issues and guide employees through appropriate pathways for raising concerns
- —Provide training on Employee Concerns Program topics and facilitate employee group meetings focused on safety culture
- —Manage workload during periods of heavy activity and irregular hours as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree + 5 years nuclear power industry experience; OR Associate degree + 7 years; OR High School diploma + 9 years. Knowledge of nuclear industry policies, procedures, and NRC regulations related to plant safety. Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to work productively with all levels of management and employees. Unwavering commitment to employee and facility safety with focus on government regulations, company operating procedures, and technical requirements.
Desired
Prior experience with nuclear operations and/or maintenance. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Location
North Anna Power Station (Mineral, VA) or Surry Power Station (Surry, VA). 26–50% travel. Work environment includes office work, loud noise (51–75%), and dust/grease/oil exposure (51–75%). Irregular or unpredictable hours required.
