Required qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Five (5) years electrical craft experience and three (3) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Proficiency with electrical testing instruments, hand tools (manual and power), tube benders, splicing equipment and wire pulling equipment.
About this role
Electrician A at Westinghouse supporting industrial electrical maintenance, construction, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems at a nuclear facility. Based in Ogden, UT, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor with 100% onsite presence.
Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and install electrical equipment, systems and components including motors, process pumps, controls, and programmable logic controls
- Install and repair building electrical systems per National Electrical Code requirements
- Maintain, test and repair electrical circuitry and equipment to assure electrical compatibility and safety
- Check and maintain electrical apparatus, equipment, facilities and systems per preventative maintenance program
- Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using hand tools
- Repair and replace switches, fuses, controls and other electrical hardware
- Troubleshoot equipment and replace or repair defective components
- Maintain preventative maintenance records and notify supervisor of irregularities or malfunctions
- Assist other maintenance technicians or engineers and coordinate area activities with central maintenance shop
Preferred qualifications
Applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial electrical maintenance.
