Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or technical discipline (chemistry, construction, computer science, mathematics, or physics) with 2 years of related experience, OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 4 years of related experience or 2 years of Constellation Reactor Services experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience or 4 years of Constellation Reactor Services experience. Must maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable. Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

About this role

Manage fleet-wide dry cask storage (DCS) program governance across Constellation's nuclear facilities. Responsibilities include planning spent fuel loading campaigns, ensuring ALARA and Technical Specification compliance, developing DCS procedures, reviewing vendor performance, assessing program implementation, and coordinating with industry working groups (Holtec Users Group, NEI Spent Fuel Working Group, Technical Nuclear Users Group).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee detailed plans and schedules for spent fuel loading campaigns
  • Ensure compliance with Technical Specifications and station procedures during DCS execution
  • Support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) practices implementation
  • Develop and maintain dry cask storage procedures
  • Review vendor performance trends and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement
  • Conduct assessments on DCS program implementation and execution
  • Solicit and implement best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Review Constellation fleet DCS lessons learned and industry operating experience (OPEX)
  • Attend industry meetings and working groups (Holtec Users Group, Technical Nuclear Users Group, NEI Spent Fuel Working Group)
  • Support Dry Cask Storage Program Managers with peer team and business plan initiatives
  • Coordinate with station departments and designated team leaders for spent fuel loading campaign preparation and execution
  • Travel to other Constellation Clean Energy Centers as needed for outage support and other assigned duties

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite at Cordova, IL or Byron, IL; 0–25% travel to other Constellation facilities; relocation or commute required.
