Dosimetry Technician
About this role
Dosimetry Technician supporting radiation protection operations at Westinghouse-managed nuclear power plants. Maintain compliance with NRC access requirements, operate dosimetry equipment, and ensure adherence to radiological safety procedures across multiple facility locations.
Responsibilities
- —Provide radiation protection dosimetry support for power plant activities
- —Maintain all applicable requirements for unescorted nuclear access
- —Safely operate and maintain dosimetry equipment per station procedures
- —Adhere to station policies, procedures, and technical directives
- —Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and sponsors on safety-critical tasks
- —Participate in Basic Radiation Protection Training program
- —Perform assigned routine dosimetry tasks based on certifications and qualifications
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; training in OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations; ability to satisfy Level II Nuclear Access Badge requirements; completion of GAP training and CIRP Task of NISP-RP-12 (Nuclear Industry Standard Process)
Location
Multiple nuclear power plant locations; onsite work required.
