Required qualifications

  • Degree in law, construction law, commercial management, contract management or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience in legal, contract management, construction, engineering, energy, infrastructure or another project-based industry. 8+ years of experience with contractual principles and analyzing complex contractual issues. reviewing commercial or construction-related contracts. with FIDIC, NEC or similar international contract forms is desirable. in construction, infrastructure, energy, industrial or other complex projects.
  • Previous experience in nuclear decommissioning, nuclear projects or another regulated industry is desirable.
  • Exposure to claims, variations, extensions of time or dispute resolution is desirable. with project delivery, change management, project schedules and cost impacts is desirable.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Additional European languages are an asset.
  • This position may be based in multiple European countries.
  • Compensation is location-specific and will be determined in accordance with local market conditions, internal equity, and the candidate's qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily contract management of nuclear decommissioning and remediation projects across EMEA.
  • Review, interpret and administer contracts based on FIDIC, NEC or similar international contracting frameworks.
  • Prepare contractual notices, formal correspondence, change requests, claims submissions and responses.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, deadlines, notification requirements and conditions precedent.
  • Maintain contract management tools and registers, including:contractual obligations matrices, notice registers, change and variation registers, claims and potential claims registers, assumptions and deviations registers, decision and instruction logs.
  • Identify contractual risks and opportunities and communicate them to project and business leadership.
  • Support the preparation, assessment and negotiation of variations, extensions of time and contractual claims.
  • Coordinate the collection and preservation of technical, schedule and cost information required to support contractual positions.
  • Participate in project reviews, risk meetings, change-control meetings and technical and commercial discussions.
  • Support bid and tender processes, including: review contractual conditions, prepare contractual deviations and qualifications, identify important contractual risks and opportunities, coordinate company partner input, support during customer negotiations.

Location, schedule, and travel

within the EMEA region, approximately 20%-30% of your time.
