Branch Manager for the Design Analysis group at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (BWR, Susquehanna Unit 1 & 2). Lead multi-discipline engineering team responsible for design basis analysis, technical specification compliance, system design control, and resolution of complex plant technical issues supporting safe reactor operations.

Responsibilities

—Manage day-to-day Design Analysis branch operations and multi-discipline engineering team; prioritize analytical support requests and ensure timely delivery of quality technical products
—Provide technical leadership on design basis issues, licensing commitments, and complex plant problems; establish procedures controlling component specifications, system designs, and modifications
—Ensure compliance with Technical Specifications, facility license conditions, and station procedures; maintain regulatory commitments and resolve issues consistent with plant licensing and design bases
—Approve technical products, oversee design product oversight (including contractor work), and maintain group quality and productivity standards
—Manage group budget and schedule; assign work, monitor performance, establish personnel goals, and develop team members to facilitate knowledge transfer
—Coordinate engineering process performance assessments against industry best practices; interface across departments to support station operations

Qualifications

BS Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences; 7–8 years of responsible nuclear power plant experience; knowledge of nuclear plant systems, interrelations, and training/certification programs

Prior experience providing oversight and approval of design products (including contractor work); previous supervisory experience; knowledge of Susquehanna training program
