APX Principal Project Sourcing & Procurement
About this role
Principal-level procurement leadership role for Westinghouse's APX (Advanced Plant eXperience) manufacturing and new plant projects at the Italy facility. Manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, and cost optimization across complex nuclear engineering projects, with oversight of procurement personnel and compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- —Negotiate, place, and administer purchase orders with suppliers across pre-PO, PO placement, and PO execution phases
- —Lead procurement strategy and decision-making for components and equipment in nuclear manufacturing projects
- —Conduct regular supplier relationship management reviews with strategic suppliers and senior leadership
- —Develop and maintain working relationships with suppliers and internal partners to secure reliable sources of supply
- —Identify and resolve engineering, quality, and administrative procurement issues
- —Identify and obtain cost improvements for purchased materials and services
- —Coordinate, maintain, and expedite material deliveries to support manufacturing schedules
- —Interface between project teams (project management, engineering) and supply chain organization
- —Develop and maintain comprehensive commodity strategy to improve Total Cost of Ownership while ensuring supply continuity
- —Prepare materials for leadership and supplier reviews, risk mitigation plans, and gap analyses
- —Obtain training and acquire knowledge to ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements
- —Provide guidance and oversight to procurement personnel
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree
- —10+ years of relevant project procurement experience, preferably in complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects
- —At least 5 years in a leadership role
- —In-depth manufacturing, financial, and economic skills and understanding of APX Supply Chain Products
- —Fluent in Italian and C1 proficiency in English

Location
Westinghouse Italy facility, hybrid (2 days/week onsite), up to 15% travel within EMEA
