Work Week Manager
About this role
Manage the five-week rolling schedule for outage and non-outage maintenance at D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant. Coordinate with operations and multiple departments to ensure efficient scheduling while maintaining plant safety, system integrity, and compliance with technical specifications, LCOs, and radiological control requirements.
Responsibilities
- —Provide day-to-day coordination of the five-week rolling maintenance schedule and ensure performance requirements support schedule execution
- —Identify systems and equipment requiring tagout, removal from service, and notify operations of maintenance windows
- —Coordinate and negotiate with various departments to schedule jobs during appropriate maintenance windows
- —Incorporate technical specifications, maintenance rules, LCO and plant configuration changes into the schedule
- —Ensure scheduling is efficient, shutdown risks are minimized, and plant system integrity is maintained
- —Manage and adhere to radiological control work practices and contamination control program requirements; identify and correct improper practices
- —Track and trend data to identify recurring problems and implement corrective actions
- —Support Emergency Response Organization, HAZMAT response, and Corrective Action Program activities as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Ten years of work experience, including seven years in nuclear power and three years in work management. Experience and knowledge in at least one of: Operations, Maintenance, or Systems Engineering. Must establish and maintain permanent residence within 45-minute safe drive time to D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant.
Desired
Currently hold or previously held Senior Reactor Operator License or certification.
Location
Onsite at D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant, Michigan. Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds; may involve work in hazardous areas and radiation exposure within NRC limits.
