Thermo Hydraulic Engineer
About this role
Perform thermal-hydraulic engineering analysis and modeling for steam generators in operating nuclear reactors and support new steam generator designs. Provide thermal-hydraulic engineering assistance for major PWR components including steam generators and pressurizers to support fleet upgrades, repairs, and modifications.
Responsibilities
- —Perform modeling and analysis of steam generators using proprietary Westinghouse thermal-hydraulic codes
- —Conduct engineering calculations and CFD analyses to support steam generator designs and component modifications
- —Ensure compliance with NRC safety and regulatory requirements for steam generator upgrades and repairs
- —Address customer and regulatory requirements and concerns related to thermal-hydraulic performance
- —Present technical analysis and recommendations to technical leads, project managers, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent; 1+ years of experience with heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and general fluid transport phenomena
Location
Madison, PA; hybrid work arrangement
