Required qualifications

About this role
Electromechanical maintenance technician for Westinghouse's Steam Generator Business Unit, performing hands-on maintenance, assembly, and commissioning of steam generator chemical cleaning and liquid effluent treatment systems at French nuclear power plants and international sites. Role combines mechanical installation, electrical work, and safety-critical operations in regulated nuclear environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and assemble mechanical systems including hoses, piping, bolted joints to torque specifications, and heavy components
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; troubleshoot and verify system operation (pumps, boilers, compressors, valves)
- Execute electrical work including high/low voltage transformer installation and commissioning, grounding, connections, and functional/electrical testing per approved procedures and regulatory standards
- Handle and transfer chemical products under controlled conditions; manage inventory and tool/material security
- Perform work at height in compliance with safety regulations; read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and packaging schematics
- Write technical procedures, test sheets, and non-conformance reports; record and trace maintenance interventions; identify improvement opportunities and contribute to lessons-learned processes
- Adhere to Westinghouse nuclear safety, security, radiation protection, environmental, and quality requirements; work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Preferred qualifications
0–5 years of experience in the nuclear sector, including exposure to nuclear safety (SCN), radiation protection principles, and quality/safety processes.
Location, schedule, and travel
Primary work location: French nuclear power plants (e.g., EDF facilities). International assignments possible at Westinghouse project sites. Work at height required.
