About this role
Technical Support Specialist at Entergy providing diagnostic expertise and technical support for nuclear and fossil power plant operations across the ETS Northern Region. Position focuses on developing improvement projects, analyzing equipment performance data, and supporting plant systems, controls, and equipment reliability. Opportunity to advance from Level I through Senior Lead depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
Provide primary or backup technical support for plant systems and processes, with focus on controls systems
Analyze, trend, and monitor plant equipment performance data using online monitoring systems to improve plant operation
Provide technical support to maintenance, outage, and capital projects; serve as Technical Lead on complex projects including contract management
Support equipment problem solving and condition assessments; represent Entergy during OEM discussions and shop repairs
Conduct and support root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and prepare management reports
Support ETS Northern Region (Monroe, LA to Batesville, AR) with on-call and after-hours availability
Preferred qualifications
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or B.S. Degree in Science in a technical field
Power plant or relevant technical experience: 0–2 years (Level I), 2–4 years (Level II), 4–6 years (Level III), 6+ years (Senior), 8+ years (Senior Lead)
3–5 years power plant control system experience (Mark VIe, Ovations, Allen Bradley PLCs, Foxboro)
Familiarity with power distribution systems (switchgear, breakers, transformers, batteries, relays)
Location, schedule, and travel
Redfield, Arkansas; ETS North Region coverage (Monroe, LA to Batesville, AR); up to 25% travel; on-site with call-out and after-hours work required.
