Technical & Instructional Specialist
About this role
Technical & Instructional Specialist supporting Constellation's nuclear training technology strategy and curricula development at the Clean Energy Center. You'll implement the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) model, mentor instructors, oversee e-learning platforms and training technology upgrades, and ensure compliance with NRC and INPO requirements across the nuclear fleet.
Responsibilities
- —Implement and oversee training technology strategy, including e-learning platforms and software/hardware upgrades
- —Provide expertise to instructors in developing training programs compliant with NRC, INPO, and corporate requirements
- —Conduct instructor evaluations and recommend developmental activities to enhance performance
- —Oversee fleet qualification tracking processes and training self-assessment programs
- —Develop and deliver continuing instructional skills and performance improvement training for instructional staff and Subject Matter Experts
- —Support instructor and manager selection; recommend instructional support materials and equipment
- —Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits/assessments; evaluate findings and prepare responses
- —Support project management for training technology improvements and business plan initiatives
- —Support in-processing activities and teach courses as needed
- —Assist with refuel outage support, emergency preparedness, and special projects
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, education, or training with 3 years of related experience, OR
- —Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 3 years of related experience, OR
- —Associate's degree in technical discipline, education, or training with 5 years of related experience, OR
- —High school diploma/GED with 7 years of related experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements; pass favorable medical examination/testing per position duties
Desired
- —Experience in information technology implementation
- —Experience in instructional technology
- —Previous instructional experience
- —Knowledge of Asset Suite 9, Learning Management Systems (LMS), web-based training, Vision, Nantel, Business Process Management (BPM), and IT/training applications
- —Knowledge of and experience with Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
