Systems Engineer, Requirements and Integration
About this role
Systems Engineer supporting requirements management and integration for Oklo's advanced fission reactor development. This role manages requirements across complex engineering efforts in a regulated nuclear environment, ensuring traceability, verification, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- —Lead configuration and deployment of Flow Engineering for requirements development and management across engineering teams
- —Collaborate with design, analysis, and regulatory teams to define and manage clear, verifiable, and traceable requirements
- —Develop and maintain requirement hierarchies, traceability matrices, and verification plans aligned with nuclear safety standards
- —Drive consistency and quality of requirements across technical disciplines to ensure compliance with NRC and other regulatory requirements
- —Train and support team members in Flow usage and best practices in systems thinking, requirements development, and traceability throughout the design lifecycle
- —Leverage systems thinking expertise to support system owners and responsible engineers in defining and executing system interfaces
- —Champion requirements change control and configuration management processes
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as nuclear, mechanical, or aerospace engineering
- —3+ years of experience in a requirements management role for complex engineering systems
- —Strong communication and organizational skills with proven ability to work across diverse technical teams
Desired
- —Proficiency with systems engineering and/or requirements management tools and solutions, including configuration, customization, and end-user support
- —Advanced degree in engineering or systems engineering
- —Familiarity with systems engineering standards such as INCOSE and experience applying MBSE principles
- —Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, nuclear, automotive, or defense
Location
Remote with required travel to Santa Clara, CA headquarters twice per quarter; two weeks in-person onboarding required at headquarters
