Supv Fuel Handling
About this role
Supervise Outage Planning and Services (OP&S) operations and maintenance activities at Constellation nuclear facilities. Direct oversight of craft personnel during refueling and online outages, coordinating with engineering, site management, NRC, and INPO to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution. This role requires nuclear facility access and involvement in fuel handling operations.
Responsibilities
- —Supervise craft personnel to ensure all assigned maintenance activities are performed safely, effectively, and in accordance with procedures, NRC regulations, and facility schedules
- —Participate in work control coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings for online and refuel outage activities
- —Communicate and escalate plant and personnel issues to appropriate OP&S and station management levels
- —Foster open communication and collaboration between OP&S, site management, INPO, and regulatory agencies
- —Administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management for assigned employees
- —Communicate company programs, announcements, and policies to assigned employees
- —Ensure effective implementation of OP&S processes including training, surveillance, procedure revisions, and corrective action programs
- —Identify and support improvement opportunities aligned with corporate and clean energy center business goals
- —Execute additional job assignments in support of outage activities as directed by management
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or technical discipline (chemistry, construction, computer science, mathematics, physics) with 5 years industry experience or 3 years Constellation Reactor Services experience; OR
- —Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years industry experience or 3 years Constellation Reactor Services experience; OR
- —Associates degree or non-technical 4-year degree, or completion of relevant skilled trades apprenticeship (boilermaker, pipefitter, operating engineer) with 7 years industry experience or 5 years Constellation Reactor Services experience; OR
- —High school diploma/GED with 9 years industry experience or 7 years Constellation Reactor Services experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements and pass favorable medical examination/testing as applicable
Desired
- —OEM training in reactor, turbine, or steam generator projects
- —Experience supervising maintenance craft personnel at an operational nuclear power plant
- —Fuel handling qualifications and experience
- —Lifting and rigging experience and Master Rigger qualifications
- —Procedure revision experience
- —P6/scheduling experience
- —Operation/maintenance of heavy lifting machinery (cask transporter, forklifts, cranes)
Location
10-50% travel required to other Constellation Clean Energy Centers; onsite nuclear facility work
