Supt, Fleet Refueling Services
About this role
Leadership role at Entergy Nuclear overseeing refueling operations, outage readiness, and implementation projects across multiple nuclear stations. Manages site project managers and supervisors, ensures regulatory compliance, and serves as the primary interface between station leadership and fleet fuel services. This position is critical for safe, efficient refueling operations including spent fuel management and dry cask storage.
Responsibilities
- —Provide governance and oversight of site Senior Project Managers and Supervisors for timely and quality completion of readiness and critique procedures
- —Attend daily Fleet Outage Services calls and report on condition reports and corrective actions for respective sites
- —Perform online and outage observations of Refueling Services leadership to ensure standards are upheld
- —Manage resources to support staffing of Refueling Services online, pre-outage, and outage scope, including Dry Fuel Storage
- —Review contracts, budgets, and load boards with Site Refueling Project Manager and Finance in accordance with outage milestones
- —Review vendor performance and drive performance improvement initiatives for respective sites
- —Identify risks and gaps with Senior Project Managers and ensure adequate and timely corrective actions
- —Standardize processes, procedures, and equipment/tooling across respective sites and facilitate change management
- —Attend Reactor Services industry working groups and owners' groups meetings to share best practices and lessons learned
- —Develop and mentor Senior Project Managers and Supervisors at site level
- —Serve as people leader for Fleet Outage Services and single point of contact between station and Fleet
- —Engage site stakeholders to build relationships and ensure alignment for support
- —Ensure Condition Reports are generated, screened, and tracked for Refueling Services gaps, learnings, tooling issues, and performance issues
Qualifications
- —B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience demonstrating success at Supervisor or Senior Project Manager level)
- —8+ years of experience in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, operations, production, or management
- —Technical proficiency in nuclear reactor services or project management
- —Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation
- —Outstanding communication, conflict management, people leadership, and change management skills
- —Proficiency with current computer business applications
- —ANSI Section 4.2.4 Technical Manager requirement: 8 years in responsible positions related to power generation, of which 3 years shall be nuclear power plant experience (maximum 2 years of remaining 6 years may be fulfilled by academic or related technical training)

- —Professional engineering license
- —SRO License or certification on a BWR or PWR
- —PMP Certification
Location
Onsite at one of three Entergy Nuclear locations: Jackson, MS; St. Francisville, LA; or Port Gibson, MS. Position requires 25–50% travel between sites.
