About this role
As a Control System Platforms & Standards intern, you will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the development of technical products and systems. You will report to the Control & Information System Engineering Manager and be located at our Warrendale, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.
Responsibilities
- Design, document and test l&C Plant Systems used for Nuclear Power Generation Stations applications
- Implement l&C hardware and software designs to meet design specifications
- Develop design documents, test plans and procedures to demonstrate that designs meet design specifications and requirements
- Create and issue Field Change Notices to site to support hardware and software modifications Resolve technical issues that arise during system design, implementation and site commissioning/startup
- Support manufacturing operations to facilitate procurement, manufacturing process, testing and integration of l&C Plant Systems during Software In-Loop and Factory Acceptance Testing
- Support field operations during site commissioning and startup activities Work with Supply Chain Management, manufacturing, outside vendors and other departments impacted by l&C Plant systems design & development Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, nuclear, or computer engineering Completed Sophomore year of college We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
- The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour. , Why Westinghouse?
