About this role
Storekeeper role (I, II, or Sr level) at Entergy Louisiana managing receipt, inventory, and distribution of materials and equipment—including nuclear-grade components and electrical materials—from a central warehouse serving nuclear and conventional generation facilities. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring compliance with nuclear industry standards and DOE/NRC protocols.
Responsibilities
- —Accurately pick, pack, and ship material manually (up to 50 lbs) or using mechanical equipment for heavier items
- —Operate powered industrial lift trucks and electric pallet jacks
- —Unload, inspect for damage, and accurately count incoming material to complete receiving process
- —Store material in proper bin locations per nuclear material handling standards
- —Process material returned from the field
- —Perform accurate inventory counts and reconcile inventory differences
- —Utilize RF handheld equipment or paper pick lists to locate and pull required material
- —Perform basic computer functions including data entry and lookups
- —Print and apply appropriate shipping labels
- —Perform housekeeping as part of job function
- —Participate in and comply with health, safety, quality, and lean initiatives
Qualifications
- —Ability to manually lift 50 lbs
- —Ability to operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks
- —Basic mathematical calculation skills
- —Problem-solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies
- —Pass mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing (Safety Sensitive position)

- —Knowledge of stores concepts and methods
- —Familiarity with nomenclature of electrical materials and nuclear components
- —Storekeeper I: 0–2 years experience
- —Storekeeper II: 2–4 years experience
- —Storekeeper Sr: 4–6 years experience
Location
Onsite in Hammond, Louisiana; up to 25% travel; nonexempt position
