Required qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering. Must be enrolled for the next academic year. Proficiency in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Fluent in English.

About this role

4–6 month paid hybrid internship supporting nuclear power plant operations at Westinghouse. Perform engineering evaluations, thermo-hydraulic transient analyses, and technical documentation under mentorship from experienced nuclear engineers. Eligible candidates may earn academic course credit. Starts September.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks supporting nuclear power plant operations and systems evaluations
  • Develop proficiency in thermo-hydraulic calculations for transient analyses
  • Document technical analyses and propose solutions to technical challenges
  • Prepare licensing documentation and participate in integrated project teams
  • Work under mentorship from experienced nuclear engineers

Preferred qualifications

Programming skills and fluency in French.

Location, schedule, and travel

Hybrid role based in Madrid, Spain (Vila-Seca location also valued). 4–6 month internship starting September.
