About this role
Sr Security Specialist within Constellation's Security Technologies Program, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security systems across the company's nuclear and renewable energy fleet. Provide expert technical guidance on intrusion detection, access control, and communications equipment while leading complex security technology initiatives across Constellation's reactor facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Perform day-to-day monitoring of security system intrusion detection, assessment, access control, and communications equipment across the nuclear fleet
- —Establish direction and determine need for Long Term Asset Management assessments, designs, updates, and deployments of security technologies
- —Conduct technical discovery sessions with vendors and site organizations to identify system requirements and feasibility
- —Lead and coordinate business projects, planning, maintenance, and regulatory compliance related to security systems
- —Design, configure, deploy, and operate security systems across Constellation nuclear facilities
- —Provide subject matter expert-level security systems engineering, design, and operation to project teams, maintenance, and end users
- —Monitor security equipment issues, internal and external software updates, and industry opportunities using CAP, OPEX, and benchmarking
- —Determine need and initiate product and service evaluation, testing, lab and mockup solutions
- —Support engineering, implementing, and troubleshooting security solutions at the component level with hands-on configuration and optimization
- —Assess, develop, design, and support custom system integration with platforms specific to security needs
- —Provide feedback to leadership and peers on risks identified during business impact analysis, site risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning
- —Drive continuous improvement in technical knowledge, industry trends, and business acumen within all security disciplines
- —Support Manager of Security Technologies in review of security technology related procedures
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related security experience, OR
- —Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 5 years of related experience, OR
- —Associate's degree with 7 years of related security experience, OR
- —High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related security experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Master's degree
- —Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- —Experience managing vendors and contractors
- —Software programming experience
