About this role

Shop Technician I at Westinghouse's New Stanton, PA facility, responsible for evaluating, repairing, and refurbishing electrical assemblies and PCBs used in nuclear power systems. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and repair electrical assemblies and PCBs for nuclear applications
  • Perform electrical wiring, soldering, and testing of assemblies following standard procedures and quality standards
  • Comprehend and interpret semi-complex mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures
  • Record data in required forms and maintain documentation
  • Install components, units, subassemblies and wiring
  • Operate electrical and electronic test equipment
  • Apply knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical theory and components

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years relevant experience with demonstrated electrical and PCB skills
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and electrical soldering skills
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more

  • Nuclear industry experience

Location

New Stanton, PA; on-site 5 days per week; ability to lift 50 lbs or more required
