About this role
Shop Technician I at Westinghouse's New Stanton, PA facility, responsible for evaluating, repairing, and refurbishing electrical assemblies and PCBs used in nuclear power systems. You will perform electrical wiring, soldering, and testing of components under supervision, supporting Westinghouse's repair and refurbishment operations for the nuclear industry.
Responsibilities
- —Evaluate and repair electrical assemblies and PCBs for nuclear applications
- —Perform electrical wiring, soldering, and testing of assemblies following standard procedures and quality standards
- —Comprehend and interpret semi-complex mechanical and electrical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints and procedures
- —Record data in required forms and maintain documentation
- —Install components, units, subassemblies and wiring
- —Operate electrical and electronic test equipment
- —Apply knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical theory and components
Qualifications
- —High School Diploma or equivalent
- —1+ years relevant experience with demonstrated electrical and PCB skills
- —Knowledge of electrical equipment and electrical soldering skills
- —Proficiency with hand and power tools
- —Ability to lift 50 lbs or more

- —Nuclear industry experience
Location
New Stanton, PA; on-site 5 days per week; ability to lift 50 lbs or more required
