Shop Helper - Machine Shop
About this role
Entry-level machine shop support role at Westinghouse's Newington, NH nuclear manufacturing facility. You will assist with machining operations, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep while completing hands-on training in manufacturing and quality processes under the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- —Perform assigned machine shop support tasks under supervisor direction
- —Operate and maintain safe use of shop equipment and materials
- —Report and escalate safety concerns via ARC system
- —Maintain quality standards and proper housekeeping; complete Atlas training
- —Perform general facility cleaning of offices, common areas, restrooms, and kitchens
- —Escort vendors throughout facility
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; 6 months to 1 year of machine shop experience preferred
Location
100% onsite at Westinghouse Newington, NH facility. Physical demands: lifting up to 25 lbs, pulling, and twisting.
