- Experience operating in cross-functional product development environments
- U.S. citizenship required
About this role
Lead sourcing and purchasing execution for Oklo's advanced fission reactor modules and high-value hardware assemblies. This role owns competitive sourcing strategy for technically intensive nuclear components and serves as a key commercial interface with strategic suppliers, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of sourcing activities for complex nuclear assemblies and critical reactor components
- Develop and manage RFP packages, conduct detailed bid analysis, and drive supplier selection decisions
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Issue and manage purchase orders in alignment with program milestones
- Support should-cost analysis and cost-reduction initiatives
- Identify supply risks and proactively drive mitigation plans
- Partner with Global Supply Managers and engineering teams to execute category strategies for nuclear-grade hardware
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and responsiveness
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, automotive, or similarly regulated and high-reliability industries
- Working knowledge of nuclear ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) requirements and associated Code Stamps (N, NPT, NA) and their impact on supplier qualification and fabrication
- Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) programs
- Familiarity with supplier cost modeling and capacity planning
- Experience working in high-growth or vertically integrated hardware companies
Location, schedule, and travel
Santa Clara, CA or remote within the United States; travel to headquarters twice quarterly; two weeks in-person onboarding required.
