Senior Manager, Capital Projects
About this role
Senior Manager overseeing capital projects ($250M+) at Entergy nuclear and fossil power plants. Responsible for project delivery with cost and schedule certainty while maintaining safety and quality excellence. Leads cross-functional teams through Entergy's Stage Gate Process, manages EPC contracts, and serves as Owner's Representative.
Responsibilities
- —Promote safe behavior and establish leading indicators to ensure safety is integrated into all design and implementation phases
- —Ensure contract scope includes appropriate safety deliverables and requirements
- —Identify technical skills needed and work with management to assign qualified team members
- —Mentor, coach, and develop project team members throughout the project lifecycle
- —Serve as Contract Manager or Owner's Representative and administer all project contracts
- —Issue formal correspondence to contractors and manage contractor performance
- —Navigate projects through Entergy Stage Gate Process and coordinate required deliverables
- —Deliver projects with cost and schedule certainty; identify and mitigate risks
- —Provide clear, timely, and accurate project status reports to management
- —Monitor contractor performance in safety, schedule, cost, quality, and contractual compliance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience); 15+ years of experience in construction management, engineering, and/or power plant operations and maintenance; experience with EPC contracts; excellent written and verbal communication skills; understanding of business processes and management principles.

Location
Onsite in Ridgeland/Jackson, Mississippi; 50–75% travel required
