About this role
Senior Engineer on Westinghouse's Reactor Component Upgrades and Major Programs (RCUMP) team, managing planning and field implementation of reactor component upgrade projects. Lead technical teams on repairs and extensions of reactor internals, travel to customer sites globally, and oversee shift operations at nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning and field implementation of reactor component upgrade project execution and delivery
- Direct engineers and project managers on technical and mechanical engineering projects, including repairs and extensions of reactor internals and head packages
- Perform precision underwater manipulation of reactor components and equipment
- Participate in equipment design, equipment qualification, and procedure development
- Travel to customer nuclear sites worldwide to service and upgrade reactor components
- Lead operational crews as shift supervisor at customer reactor facilities
- Document and escalate technical issues; assume expanded responsibilities as experience grows
