Senior Buyer at Westinghouse responsible for procuring goods, materials, components, and services for nuclear energy solutions. Manage the full procure-to-pay cycle, lead supplier relationships, conduct risk analysis, and mentor junior supply chain professionals while meeting cost, quality, and delivery targets for nuclear plants and projects.
Responsibilities
- Support RFQ/RFP process including pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions negotiation
- Manage procure-to-pay process from supplier engagement through Purchase Order issuance and resolve cross-functional issues
- Manage on-time deliveries with suppliers and coordinate with internal clients (plants, projects)
- Create and manage new vendors in the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Explore alternate sources for goods and materials and share findings with buying team
- Conduct risk analysis of suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
- Facilitate contract change activities and resolve scope/cost increases, net terms, supplier claims, and disputes
- Identify cost savings opportunities across procurement
- Coach and mentor junior supply chain professionals (Buyers)
- Coordinate work to meet volume and plant requirements
Preferred qualifications
- Supply Chain or Business degree
- Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers
- SAP MRP, Material Masters, Purchasing Info Records (PIRs), Source Lists, and Purchase Order automation processes
