Oklo is seeking a Regulatory Engineer to support licensing and regulatory compliance for advanced fuel recycling and fabrication facilities. This role combines expertise in NRC and EPA regulatory frameworks with hands-on technical engineering work to advance modern fuel recycling technologies. You will research regulations, generate licensing documentation, interface with design teams, and prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

—Research, interpret, and apply NRC and EPA regulations and regulatory precedents to licensing activities
—Generate, refine, and review licensing documentation and NRC license applications/amendments
—Analyze regulatory documents, identify key compliance aspects, and support internal and external regulatory deliverables
—Interface with technical staff to review engineering material and provide technical feedback to design teams
—Contribute to and author technical reports for NRC submissions and external regulatory bodies
—Document regulatory and technical work using modern tools and maintain clear records

Qualifications

—Experience generating, contributing to, or evaluating NRC license applications or amendments
—Technical background in engineering, physics, health physics, or related field
—Strong written and verbal communication skills for regulatory documentation
