Reactor Service Operation Lead
About this role
Lead a 10–20 person operational team delivering reactor service projects in France, including fuel inspection, vessel operations, and mechanical stress mitigation work. Manage personnel, budgets, and customer satisfaction while ensuring strict safety and quality standards across onsite operations.
Responsibilities
- —Manage an operational team of 10–20 personnel (technicians to project managers) assigned to reactor service operations and special projects
- —Oversee onsite execution of televised fuel inspections and vessel opening/closing operations
- —Lead mechanical stress improvement processes, NDE inspection systems, and upper internals component replacement projects
- —Assign competent personnel to projects based on customer and Westinghouse requirements
- —Develop and implement training and development plans for team members
- —Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance objectives
- —Allocate equipment and materials required for project execution
- —Define annual operating budgets and manage cost allocation
- —Ensure team performance and on-site operations capacity alignment with project managers
- —Proactively propose optimization options and resolve resource conflicts
- —Provide technical support and operational feedback to support product development
- —Maintain team engagement through application of safety, security, and quality standards
- —Report bi-monthly to Operations Manager on activity progress and results
- —Identify and address recruitment needs for the team
Qualifications
- —University degree in engineering or related field
- —5–10 years of experience in service provision or engineering
- —Strong knowledge of nuclear services and understanding of strategic and commercial priorities
- —Understanding of business and financial processes
- —Good knowledge of continuous improvement processes
- —Experience in planning and project management
- —Problem-solving skills with creative planning and resource management capabilities
- —Persuasion and negotiation skills to ensure team engagement and motivation
- —Ability to resolve resource conflicts while maintaining customer satisfaction
Location
95% based in France with occasional ELA region travel; position requires on-site mobility and flexibility to ensure team performance; team operates fully remote with onsite project work.
