About this role
Oklo is seeking a Project Quality Assurance Manager to oversee QA activities across EPC, construction, procurement, manufacturing, and operations-readiness for advanced reactor projects. This role ensures execution aligns with NQA-1, DOE Order 414.1D, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and NRC regulatory requirements while coordinating between internal teams, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- —Develop and maintain project-level Quality Assurance Plans, procedures, inspection/test plans, audit plans, and quality records for EPC, construction, procurement, manufacturing, and operations-readiness activities aligned with NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B.
- —Translate licensing, quality program, code, contractual, and project requirements into executable instructions for project teams, EPC contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- —Develop and maintain quality requirements for QL-1 and quality-significant structures, systems, components, materials, and construction activities, including acceptance criteria, verification methods, and objective evidence.
- —Develop care, custody, and control transfer plans from EPC and construction contractors to Oklo for asset acceptance, configuration control, and operations readiness.
- —Define handover and operational-readiness criteria including system boundaries, turnover scope, asset ownership, equipment preservation, punch-list closure, and required records.
- —Develop internal procurement quality plans aligned with commercial grade dedication, supplier quality, and licensing requirements.
- —Provide QA oversight of construction execution, including work package readiness, field implementation, inspections, testing, commissioning support, and turnover.
- —Review drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, procurement documents, RFIs, submittals, and quality records for regulatory alignment.
- —Manage corrective action processes including condition reports, nonconformances, audit findings, root cause evaluations, and effectiveness reviews.
- —Plan and execute audits and surveillances of project activities, EPC contractors, suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, and document control.
- —Support supplier qualification, audits, surveillance, and commercial grade dedication implementation.
- —Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Operations, and Regulatory teams to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications
- —Strong quality judgment and field awareness in nuclear construction or manufacturing environments.
- —Demonstrated document and records management discipline.
- —Supplier and procurement quality experience in regulated industries.
- —Construction execution awareness and project delivery experience.
- —Proactive ability to identify and escalate quality, documentation, turnover, and operations-readiness risks.
- —Knowledge of NQA-1, DOE Order 414.1D, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B quality standards.
